Home Office: Remind yourself to centralize reminder notes
When was the last time that you left the room to retrieve something, got interrupted then forgot what you went after? No matter you age – it happens. Trying to keep too much information in your head leaves little room for even the smallest tasks. How did we get to this point?
Actually it was easy trip. There was a time that a little reminder note would keep us headed in the right direction. Then there were more reminder notes. One on the desk, a sticky note on the monitor, a list on the refrigerator and another tucked into that little strap on the sun visor in the car. After a while we forget to read all of the reminder notes. Soon we will need a map to all of the reminder notes.
The easy solution is to centralize the notes. If the family is involved place a magnetic board, a notepad or an electronic message center in a room such as the kitchen. If the reminders are of a personal nature enter them in your cell phone, your computer or a date book.
Less effort spent on remembering allows more time for doing. Less clutter in your mind allows for better thought processing.
