Home Office: Organize with kitchen boxes
In just a few weeks – after Christmas 2008 and by January 1 of 2009 – just like me hundreds of thousands will be planning to get organized – again. Planning is definitely the fun part and executing is the working part.
Executing the plan requires the right tools. I have multiple shelves in my home office but they are not really very good for organizational purposes. They are not adjustable so there is too much wasted space above my printer, DSL modem and router. That space could be used for some of the smaller items lying around such as paperclips, a cup of loose change and a flashlight.
I found some stacking boxes (stackable packet bins) today and I ordered an even dozen immediately. They are clear plastic, measure 8.5 inches x 8.5 inches and they can be stacked. The front of said boxes is open for easy access. If you are interested to see what I am talking about just visit shopgetorganized.com and look under “kitchen”. That’s right, I find home office organizational tools in the kitchen department.
I am very anxious to receive my package and plan to put its contents to good use. You may have guessed that I enjoy the execution phase of my plan as well as the final look and funtion.
