Home Office: Business gifting that suits both men and women
Gifting a superior or business partner is a little more complicated than gifting an employee. You are not restricted by the usual rules of gift giving. Yes, it should always be appropriate but it can be chosen on a more individual basis. Be ready to spend a little more as well.
The cost of the gift should not be the deciding factor. In fact there are a lot of gifts that fall within the $25 to $100 range. One of my favorite gifts to give is a calendar and portfolio. They come in brown, black, red or a multitude of other colors. They come in multiple sizes and can fit the needs of most anyone.
An engraved metal nameplate would add a personal touch. This extra effort would be appreciated and would make a simple gift an extraordinary one. If you wish, a pen and pencil set could be added to the package.
A gift is most appropriate when it can be given to either a man or woman. A calendar and portfolio fits the bill while allowing you personalize it for the recipient. If you know that the person receiving the gift has personal preferences and you are not sure what a good choice would be - a gift certificate may the best idea. Before going with an electronic organizer I shopped regularly at my local Franklin Covey store. The franklinplanner.com site is one of my favorites now.
