Home Office: Wireless router needs replaced if desktop looses connection
A wireless network is key to my home office. It allows me to move about the house and use my laptop from any room.
This is not the first time that an odd occurrence has hindered my wireless freedom. Although I have no problem connecting to the Internet – when I do the desktop computer is kicked offline.
Strangely, a few years ago I was having the same problem with my original Linksys wireless router. The issue went away until a few months ago. Once again replaced the router with another one of the same brand and model and I no longer kick the desktop offline.
I mention this because I am not the only one that experienced this problem. I know someone else that has given up using a wireless laptop because it continually kicks the desktop offline. Hopefully I can help someone else get back to enjoying the freedom that I now have again.
Don’t be afraid to experiment with office equipment. Even though I was connecting to the Internet there was something wrong.
I too have a Linksys system/Hughesnet for my wireless. I created a network for my desktop and two laptops. This seemed to solve the problem with connectivity. Hang in there!
