Home Office: Note details in a Diary
There was a day or two in my past that I was able to complete a task and let it go. Come to think of it – I can’t remember the last time…
As recently as yesterday I wrote about diary software (advanced diary) and USB drives. Little did I know that today I would regret not knowing about the ability to keep a digital diary and that it would have been so easy.
Yes, I use the calendar feature of Microsoft Outlook. But, I think that I need something a little less formal where I am more likely to write a paragraph instead of just a few words. Case in point – I need to remember a series of events from 2006. I know what happened and the approximate time line but the details that would put the question to rest are lost in some deep part of my memory and I cannot retrieve them.
I will probably have to make several phone calls and write a few emails to get the situation resolved. There is not enough time in the day to do what has to be done plus to redo what I have already completed two years ago.
If I can say anything to help you today it will be to remind you to keep notes about important events and appointments that you attend. Keep the information in a searchable form and keep it forever.
