Home Office: Private space on a USB Drive

Published by debcook at 8:42 pm under Living Edit This

Have you ever wanted to just write down your thoughts without the worry that someone else could see them? Or maybe you need to keep track of events that are not ready to see the light of day?

You would think that by sitting in your home office at your own computer or note pad you could find the privacy that you need. Don’t count on it. How many times do you get distracted and then realize that you left your writing in plain view?

I saw a gadget on QVC that looks like a great way to keep your thoughts and plans private. It is actually designed as a child’s secret diary but it would work for anybody.

It is a USB flash drive that is preloaded with diary software. The flash drive itself keeps the diary private. Unless you enter a pin and password you cannot access the data. After a few incorrect tries of an unauthorized person the drive locks itself.

Diary entries can be made on any computer and nothing is left behind. No extra software needs to be loaded or accessed. I think that fifty-five dollars is a reasonable price to have a safe and secret place to record your thoughts. This gadget is aptly named “Secret Diary Portable Electronic Journal”.
