Home Office - Workspace in a corner
Have an empty corner? If so you have room for a home office. Small yes – but home office (of sorts) all the same. Wal-Mart calls their corner desk a “Computer Corner Desk Tower”. No walls or doors block you in.
Upsides of these corner desks are that they provide a desktop, a keyboard tray, at least two shelves above and one shelf below the desktop. Room is provided for a computer tower, a flat panel monitor, a printer, a few supplies as well as a workspace.
Downsides of these corner desks are that they are totally open to the rest of the room. It would be impossible to keep papers private. Children and pets could easily play havoc with your workspace.
Why would you want a home office in a corner?
· If you do not have any other space for a home office
· If you want a second workspace in a home office
· A study and homework space in a dorm room
· A study and home work space in a bedroom
· A computer station for family use in a public area of the home
· A work space for house guests
I have family members that bring their laptops when they visit. I also have family members that want and need to use my desktop at my desk so I need a place to work. At just over $100 a corner computer desk workstation would work well in many cases.
