Home Office - Work from home saves time

Published by debcook under Living Edit This

A home office is a lifesaver family saver for telecommuting workers. Finishing work before going to bed or early in the morning gives you extra time with your family. Kids and spouses appreciate that you are nearby.

There is little done in a professional office that cannot be done in a home office. Internet access to work computers can be as easy as logging in. Laptop files are mobile. Mobile phones are acceptable for most communications including email.

I prefer non-structured work hours so that I can multitask. Work life and home life are hard to separate because there never seems to be enough time for getting everything accomplished. It seems like such a waste of time not to have a load of laundry or dishes washing while I sit here and write.

Getting enough sleep is difficult under the best circumstances. An inconvenient Time Zone won’t interfere too much unless you are on a video call. No one will know that you just climbed out of bed and your hair is a mess. Phone tag is virtually eliminated when you are available to anyone anywhere in the world.

Maybe someday I will spend all of my working hours at home in my home office. That is my dream and I am working as hard as I can to make it happen.
