Home Office - Floor space vs wall space

With all of this talk about great home office furniture and home office design I have left my mine for tonight. Honestly, I am a little bit depressed. I want to paint and install new shelves but I do not have the time right now.

My laptop and I are relaxing in my recliner in the family room. Maybe a difference of scenery will help my mood. It may even help me come up with some new ideas for my home office. Sometimes small changes can make a tremendous difference.

Small floor space requires more creative design ideas. When room runs out on the floor the only place to go is up the walls. That is my next plan.

Storage cubbies would be just right for storing books that are seldom read. I could stack cubbies reaching from the floor to the ceiling in one corner. Storing office supplies such as extra printer paper needs both stability and sound structure to withstand the weight. Doors are an option but I think they would be most useful left open.

The plan is forming. I know which cubbies I like and I have the perfect corner. Before I move forward with this new idea it would be great to hear from you. If you have purchased storage cubbies or have seen any that you’d like to have please let me know. I am really getting pumped to get my home office updated.
